Forest Bathing on Mombacho
Mombacho
A slow, guided walk through the Mombacho cloud forest focused on the five senses.
Why this exists.
You walk slower than you think.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese practice of walking very slowly through a forest paying attention to the five senses. Marina trained in Japan and adapted the practice to the Mombacho cloud forest, one of Central America's richest ecosystems. The walk lasts three hours but covers less than two kilometres. There are long stops to listen, smell, touch. At the end a tea is prepared with leaves from the forest itself. Ideal for anyone who has never tried this practice.
