Horseback Across Pacific Ridges
San Juan del SurVisit location →Four hours on horseback along the southern Pacific ridges, with stops at ocean lookouts.
Why this exists.
The horse knows the route better than you.
The southern Nicaraguan Pacific coast has tall ridges that drop toward the sea with open-horizon views. Miguel, a third-generation horseman, trains criollo horses suitable for riders of any level. The route starts at the family farm, climbs cattle trails, and crosses three ridges before descending to a private beach. Four hours at a steady walking pace with frequent stops to hydrate and take in the landscape. Lunch at the farm on return. Beginner-friendly.
