Silent Canoe in the Mangroves
Padre Ramos
Ninety minutes canoeing the Padre Ramos estuary in silence. Just the sound of the mangroves and your paddle.
Why this exists.
No talking until the end.
The Padre Ramos estuary is a nature reserve in the country's northwest. This route was designed by a marine biologist who realized people talked so much during tours that they missed everything else. The rule is simple: from the moment you leave the dock until you reach the final bohío, no talking. Just paddle. Listen to the crabs, birds, water. At the end — 90 minutes later — the guide takes you to a small bohío where you share coffee and conversation about what you heard. Small groups. All ages. Many people come alone.
