Watercolor by the Lagoon
Laguna de Apoyo
A morning painting the Apoyo Lagoon with watercolors. No experience needed. Just water, paper, and light.
Why this exists.
The landscape is the teacher.
Apoyo Lagoon is a volcanic crater filled with turquoise water. It's one of the quietest places Nicaragua has to offer. Rosa sets up her easel on the shore several times a week and teaches here too. The session runs three hours and covers the basics: mixing pigments, wet-on-wet, leaving whites on purpose. It doesn't matter if you've never painted. Rosa starts from zero. You'll end with three paintings and a different understanding of why light changes everything.
